The Libray Hub Project aims to develop love and habit of reading among students in public schools by building “warehouse” libraries equipped with quality and DepED-approved Supplementary Reading Materials (SRMs). Under its cost-partnership scheme, the DepED forges a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the local government unit (LGU) or non-government organization (NGO) to shoulder the construction of the building. The DepED funds the reading materials. To date, over 200 Division-based Hubs are now serving public schools nationwide. With hundreds of titles and copies, the Hubs provide greater access to quality reading materials for the benefit of students.
